Bettini carry out on site a number of surface treatments on metal parts,
in order to obtain optimized characteristics for further processes or
to reach the final finishing of the end-product after galvanic plating
or ceramic plasma coating. |

| Barrel finishing | It is the mass treatment of metal parts in specific revolving barrels or vibrators, where deburring and polishing operations are carried on. These treatments can be more or less heavy depending on the requirements. Recently, a brand new tratment specific for deburring ad polishing stainless steel has been introduced, allowing significative time saving. | ||||
| Sand blasting | This operation is performed to obtain satin finished or matt surfaces. It is also used for cleaning or preparing surfaces to galvanic and ceramic plasma coatings. Specific sand blasting machines and different abrasive powders (corundum or silicon carbide) with selected grain size range are used for different purposes. | ||||
| Smoothing | This processing, exclusively mechanical,
allows eventual defects of the surface (grooves, scratches and pores of
limited dimensions) to be removed, or to obtain polished surfaces both before
and after the coating. The working is executed by mean of emery wheels or tapes adjusted on specific machineries. It can be done either manually by an operator or automatically in a robot automated area designed for the purpose. |

| Thermal treatments | Bettini offers the possibilities to carry out thermal treatments such as hardening, cementation, nitriding and carbonitriding, by having recours to highly qualified suppliers. | ||||
